West Earlham Library’s Online Activities
July 14, 2020
Taking a walk around Earlham West Centre over the last few months would tell you that the Library doors are currently closed however we are still providing an online service via social media – specifically Facebook.
We are still running events like Knit and Natter with opportunities to get together online and chat on a Thursday morning and Tiny’s Time posts with sensory activities for the tiny tots on a Thursday afternoon to coincide with our Bounce and Rhyme sessions. We are also posting weekend Boredom Busters to help provide fun activities and Friday nights have become ‘Show Night’ thanks to Andrew Lloyd Webber and his Show Must Go On initiative. Plus we also have the increasingly popular Digital Reminiscence Kits all on our Facebook page. All these activities and more are available on West Earlham Library’s facebook page.
Our facebook page is also the place to keep up-to-date with library opening and safety advice for Covid-19 protection when out and about. Also keep a check on the Norfolk County Council website on the Libraries for news from 47 Libraries with opening times and updates too.
Over the summer school holidays we are running our regular Summer Reading Challenge with The Reading Agency. This year is The Silly Squad, and it’s all happening online, so have a look at www.summerreadingchallenge.org.uk to sign up.
Alongside this we also have plans to run ‘live’ interactive craft events online during the Summer Break, spaces are limited, so take a look at our Facebook page to make sure you don’t miss out.
