Lynda was ‘born and bred’ in Norfolk and has lived in West Earlham for over 26 years. She is married with three children and four grandchildren who keep her almost as busy as she was before she retired from the Civil Service. Lynda is a co-director of A.W.Electrical Services (Norwich) Ltd and has worked as a volunteer on boards including the West Norwich Partnership and the West Norwich Credit Union. She takes her role at The Henderson Trust very seriously, firmly believing that those involved now really believe in the Henderson ethos. Lynda‘s aim is “to change other peoples’ perceptions of this area, especially the media, because there is so much to be proud of!” Lynda is the Chair of Trustees.

Christine has lived and worked in Norfolk since 2000 and has been a Trustee with Henderson Trust since 2010. Her professional background is that of a Careers Guidance Advisor and she has worked as a Practitioner and Senior Manager and a Director at Easton College responsible for the Student Services Department. Christine also volunteers as a Panel Member with Norfolk Youth Offending Services and is a Governor for Ormiston Academy. She enjoys all her volunteering responsibilities as they all involve supporting families and young people in Norfolk. Her other interests include pilates, walking her two Boxer dogs and visiting interesting places as a member of The National Trust.

Sam is a newly appointed resident trustee, living with his wife just off Dereham Road in the North Earlham area. He has lived in Norwich all his life and has family members who have resided across West Earlham, Larkman and North Earlham. He currently works for a Trade Union and was previously employed by Charles Clarke MP as a caseworker to support constituents. He is particularly interested in promoting all measures to improve social inclusion across the community and is well aware that these are difficult times for many who live locally. He is very enthusiastic about the work carried out by the Henderson Trust to support children, families and community groups and has already seen the significant positive differences such activities are having. Outside of his work he enjoys gardening and sailing together with serving as a Justice of the Peace and Mental Health Act Hospital Manager for the Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust.

Catrin is the Head teacher of West Earlham Junior School and has taught in different schools in the area for over 10 years. She lives in central Norwich and has great working knowledge and many connections in the local community having worked and previously lived in the area. Catrin is very passionate about education and the work done by the Henderson Trust. She particularly enjoys working with people of all ages to help them create enterprises for themselves which, in turn, benefits the local community. Catrin has three daughters, two at high school locally and one who is a student nurse.

Norma has lived in the area since 1945. She was a military wife for a few years and travelled around the

world with her husband. Back

in Norwich, she worked in both the shoe trade and electronics.When she retired, her husband passed away 4 years later, so this gave her the opportunity to get involved in the community. She joined the committee at Cadge Road Community Centre and then became a trustee at Henderson Trust. She remains very active in the community.
